"Making Calls refers to how I first started drawing. I used to doodle when I was on the phone with someone, not to distract myself, but to make me focus more on the conversation. After awhile I thought, Well, why don’t I just draw without the phone?

I started drawing a little bit more, and it turned into a practice that very much calmed me down. It made feel a certain way—peaceful–and then I couldn’t stop drawing."
