In honor of the one-year memorial of the death of Laura de Santillana, James Barron Art is pleased to present an exhibition of Laura de Santillana's glass sculptures in dialogue with paintings by Sidival Fila.

While working in disparate media - de Santillana with glass and Fila with folded and hand-sewn canvas and fabric - there is a shared concern for the diffused seam between the upper and lower sphere. Though the two artists never met one another, we are thrilled for their work to meet in the humble, unadorned environment of The Cabin. The result honors the intention of both artists: not only to elevate the material of the art, but also the spirit of the viewer.
