Peter Halley: Networks

"Landing in downtown New York [in 1980], I suddenly understood that my obsession with geometry was coming from this complex built environment, from the way the spaces around me were organized." Peter Halley
Peter Halley has been interested in the geometry of our modern life since the 1980s, when he began to incorporate technological elements such as cells and conduits into his paintings. The works in our exhibition, made between 1995-2015, examine our new lifestyle of information technology, with the physical presence of a human being replaced by digital communication.
